Does anyone know where I can find some? Nothing fancy, just a plain Bamboo or Reed pattern. Thanks! Josh |

I've tried to find bamboo fabric too, but all you find is a few stalks and leaves, not the look of lashed bamboo. http://www.fauxfx.com/StencilFX.html Now would someone please tell me why this fabric is named what it is? |

Purple Jade - I've found the same thing...lots of floral patterns that incorporate bamboo, but that's about it. I've still got a few places to check, but it's looking like a compromise is likely. J |

Haole Cat, I work for a quilt shop and I think we might have something similar to what you're looking for. I'll go up into the shop, cut some fabric, scan it in and post it here for you to see. It's all 100% cotton. |

Darnit all...the two bamboo fabrics we have are green, and they're quite small scale. I'll post them tomorrow, some customers kept me hopping 'till closing time. I'll keep my eyes open for more! |

That's a good one tiki5-0, we used to have it in stock. Keep in mind that the picture you see is pretty much 100%, so it's quite a small print. Would be great for small projects, but not so great for, say, covering a rattan chair.(unless you don't mind a tiny print) |

Found one more site. If this does not take you direct to the bamboo fabric, scroll down to the motifs and click on the bamboo icon. ADDDENDUM: Ooops.Sorry dangergirl299, I had not originally realized that I posted one of the sites you already listed. This has been a great thread to inspire finding fabric. Sure has opened my scope of possibilities. [ Edited by: I dream of tiki on 2005-04-23 19:12 ] |
