Oh how I wish I could vote for this man!

It is so refreshing in this PC world to hear someone be forthright. I agree completely. He should be Modern Drunkard's Man of the Year!

Martinis with the Mayor! Beats kissing babies on the campaign trail.

Could this be the same man whose campagne slogan was "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy"?

But if Hitler drank gin would he have made these comments?

My wife has (quite rightly) always asserted the fact that virually everyone is born "2 pints under par". That's pints of beer of course -not gin. But she's right.

Saying that, the ones that pretend to have pious, alcohol-free life are 530% more likely to cry while having sex.

I'm crien because I ain't gettin it.

Having lived under both administrations, Oscar Goodman is uncannily similar to Willie Brown.

When I lived in SF, Willie got called out for having given sweet city contracts to his cronies without putting the projects out for competitive bidding.

He showed up at a press conference and was confronted.

"Mayor Brown...you have been accused of giving out no-bid contracts to your personal friends, what do you have to say about that?"

Willie: "Of course I did, THEY'RE MY FRIENDS."

Oscar and Willie can be amazing straightforward.

Oscar has some definite frontal lobe issues, he followed up that controversy by threatening to tell sixth graders about the joys of Cialis and four-hour erections.

All in all, though, he seems to like the town and wants to do a good job. He will take a meeting with any citizen who requests an appointment, which is cool.

He auctions off his breakfast time each week for various charities, as well. He donated "Breakfast With Oscar" to my kids' school and then treated the family that won like royalty, on his own dime. (The auction proceeds all went to the school.)

He is the biggest proponent of magnet schools I've ever seen, and even though he may get a little loose tongued, spends major amounts of time being nice to kids and encouraging and rewarding their local achievements.

He tries to parlay any of his own popularity into something that helps the town.

That being said, he is also a pro-mob defense lawyer who has helped keep killers on the street.

Interestingly, though. They just did a review of his cases, and more of his clients who got off had very very short life expectancies - shorter than if they'd gone to jail; so, maybe he kept them in circulation just long enough to get offed! :lol
