Mad Fabricators DVD for you gearheaded tikis!

Pages: 1 10 replies

Since we've discussed Barracuda Magazine a few times, I thought I'd let you fellow gearheads know that the new Mad Fabricators DVD is out and it has some cool tikis in it!

Mad Fabricators is a video magazine, for those of you scratching your heads. Like any mag, some of the 'stories' are boring as hell...you're listening to / watching these guys talk and you're wanting to move forward and see the cars.

And also like any regular mag, there are different sections. Both Mad Fabs feature photo shots by WinkyTiki...the first was really cool and done in the Polynesian Pop style.

The Volume 2 features Von Francos home tiki bar and a story on Mr. G - where you have to read subtitles...then go back and see the tikis..or vice-versa - whichever you prefer. Unless you can do both, in which case you're more talented than I am.

Anyway, I wont rattle on; if you like rods and some kick ass music, and occasionally see a tiki thrown in, then you'll appreciate the Mad Fabricators DVD.
Check 'em out!

Can you capture any pics from the dvd on your pc. Where can you get them.
Sounds cool. thanks for the heads up.

These are on there website in the gallery section , Now I must get it.

I saw a small write-up about the DVD in Rod & Custom a couple months back...they seemed to say it was pretty cool but I think it didn't have enough high-dollar, aftermarket component laden, crate engined, trailer queens to meet their requirements. I should have taken their low-key presentation as an indicator that the DVD was pretty hip.

Holy crap! That's our moai bar! I just finished prepping it for the run to VLV... I'm still wet from working on it (f-ing rain!).

I knew I had seen it somewhere else. Please post a better pic. That thing is cool.

There's a couple pics here in a Creating Tiki thread...

KAHUNA...LOL! I know, I was watching the Mad Fab dvd with my family and said, "Hey, wait- yeah, see that? See that big moai tiki bar? Yeah, I talked to that dude on the computer! I know that guy!!"

I was a popular guy for about 10 seconds!

I've seen the first one but not the second. That moai is tops fo sho! Speaking of Mr. G, he didi a cover for harcore rod& Kustom with the El B Tiki.

Glad to see the moai's on the road again Kahaka. Last year at VLV, I stopped by to see it, and you said it probably wouldn't last another trip. Looks like you found a way to keep it alive! Way to go. @;-)
