Score!!!

Saw Basement Kahuna this week.
He's looking good. Moving ahead. He actually looks younger than the last time I saw him. I hate people like that.

I was able to sample some of his homemade pimento liquer - play some music with him - have a few cocktails.

But that's not the reason I called.
I bought this:

Not the dog. The Tiki.
I now have Basement Kahuna #1.
Although there is a stipulation that he can trade a new tiki for this tiki at any time - I believe the Lagoon Lounge is a great showplace for such a good friend's and talented artist's first tiki.

When I get it situated into place - I'll post some new pics.
The Lounge needs a good sprucing up anyway.

Thanks BK.

Oh you LUCKY Dog. Big score for sure! How is BK really. I hope he's good.

That right there is an original Basement Kahuna based on the poles at Trader Vics. Check the first few pages of the carving post at the top of this forum to check out the creation of it.

TD

So based on the poles at trader vics? so how erver did the poles at KON TIKI most likely did the same

Very sweet! Abundant jealousy here!
