Dealing with the locals

The latest Marooned on the Mainland brings this question to mind, when you venture into a new tiki bar, or any bar, how do you deal with the locals who feel it is their mission in life to hit on your date, wife, or husband?

My girl would put them in their place, so no worries there. She takes no crap, not even from me.

I also look scary, so that would probably help. Im about as tuff as jello though!
