My friend, The Whaleshark (Erik Pietsch) from Maui will be performing at Anthony's Pizzeria in El Segundo on their outside patio from 4-7pm on Sunday, June 12th.

For those of you who have been to Maui, he used to play at "The Whale's Tale" on Front Street before it shut down. He currently plays at "The Cool Cat Cafe" on Front Street when he is not on tour.

He is a singer/songwriter whose songs deal with such various topics as rum, pirates, life in the islands, etc. He also sings several great drinking songs about women who have everything (except a penis), Mom's who take their boobs out, etc. It's fun for the whole family.

Also, note that not only does Anthony's have great food and cold beer, but it is also only a one minute stagger to the Purple Orchid. After the show, I will be heading over there with The Sperm Whale, Laura-Tonga, and the Whaleshark for cocktails. I hope many of you can join us.

Check out my friend's website at:

for more info about him and his music.

Anthony's is located at: 143 Main Street, El Segundo, CA 90245

Hey Riptide-
I don't know about you - But I'll be there!!!
Later,
Spermy

Great sound bytes on the webpage.. sounds like a fun musician and composer!
Was really excited to see Erik scheduled for Santa Rosa, CA, a few days before
my birthday. But, alas, it's labeled as a "Private Party" so I guess
I will have to catch him in Maui in November when we get there!

Tikiwinebear -
Email him and ask what kind of "private party" it is. Often times, this just means that it is at a residence and not a bar. It very well could just be a party that he has been scheduled to play at and he will often have "fans" attend.

Looks like fun--I'll try to make it up there after the Aquarium...
