the shipping was too much for me ($10 US - yes I'm feeling cheap this week) but I figure its cheaper in the US and the price is right. He's listed it 3 times and no takers, after all, I dont know how many "african" mug collectors there are out there....

T

Maybe he should have listed it as a "Godless Pagan Idol" (but in a good way!)

T

Maybe because it was black he thought it African; I guess if it was yellow he'd of thought it Asian.

(Maybe if it had white lips he would have thought it was an "Amos & Andy" mug!)

T

I'm surprised you guys don't remember these, when I was just a young mug my mom used to buy these at the grocery store it was full of pancake syrup.

Remember Aunt Ja-Moai syrup?

T

You're all wrong, it's a bust of Tutankhamun!

speaking of this mug, These things all easly found here in vegas, they dont have any markingings on them though so i havent picked one up.They do have a concave bottom, any idea where or who theyre made by/from?

Hula Hula,
This mug is made by OMC (I believe). Yes, they are VERY common because they were used in many establishments back in the heyday of Polynesian Pop just like the Chiki Tiki Peanut Man and the 3-Tiki Bucket Mug.
