THE FORBIDDEN WORLD OF DON TIKI
IN A RARE APPEARANCE AT THE HAWAIIAN HUT!

“The Forbidden World of Don Tiki” plays the Hawaiian Hut on Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 9 pm.

Honolulu based Don Tiki is the keeper of the flame of the evocative “exotica” genre of jungle jazz music pioneered by the legendary Martin Denny. Their tikipalooza extravaganza has garnered a devout following and includes Hawaii’s top musicians, the gorgeous Don Tiki Dancers, elaborate costumes, and quixotic choreography. Their new show includes an Arabian fantasy segment and promises to be a ton of fun and your chance to kick back and soak up a little TLC… Tiki Lounge Culture!

These concerts will transport you to an island paradise where sensual tropical fantasies still exist. Special guests appearing along with Don Tiki will include Lopaka Colon, Willow Chang, Emi Hart, and Sherry Shaoling Chock. With the recent resurgence of interest in exotica music and tiki culture in general, tickets are sure to go fast.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-877-750-4400. Box office for tickets at the door opens at 7:45pm on the days of the show only. The Hawaiian Hut is located at the corner of Atkinson Drive and Kona Street on the grounds of the Ala Moana Hotel.

Further information is available at http://www.dontiki.com. “The Forbidden World of Don Tiki” is presented by Taboo, Inc.
