Hey everyone, I was wondering if this was a mistake or some former copycat tiki establishment. [ Edited by: Tiki Royale 2005-07-13 23:22 ] [ Edited by: tiki royale 2005-07-14 13:01 ] |

Supposedly the Trader still exists in Cuba (doesn't it say that in BOT?) I know it was Trader Vic's originally, but maybe they changed the name to The Trader at some point...? |

From what I've been able to tell, the restaurant is now called El Polinesio. A couple of early Trader Vic's locations were called The Traders (other early ones were also called The Outrigger), but that was with an "s". I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the Havana Trader Vic's was initially called The Trader. |

I thought the mask and spears was a logo that was adopted in the 70's.... which would sort of rule out Cuba. |
