My Customized Tiki Tony Tangaroa

Well I finally got around to putting together what I had in mind for the Tangaroa I bought from Tiki Tony at Tiki Oasis got it hung in our bar just today & thought I'd share with all - for your viewing pleasure.......

& I also got this Tiki Tony original I bought at Tiki Oasis hung at the same time - above the doorway in our tiki bar.

Excellent! Did you make the red flower, or is that something you can get at Cost Plus?

Tiki Tony's paintings rock! I almost bought that one at Oasis, but decided on another instead. Hope to have Monkeyman make a frame for it someday.

They come in Purple, Light Pink, Dark Pink & Green. I used the Dark Pink one.
When I saw the flower in the catalog, I already had the Tangaroa, so it seemed like a natural...

WHoa!!! Awesome addition! I never even thought to display them like the real ones. Too cool. I've been tinkering with some small motors to animate a toucan and parot I carved, and after looking at your flower addition, I could put the motor up inside the flower, and with a motion sensor, have the baby drop down then real back up just like the Disney ones! Hmmmm, you've got me thinking again.... On a related note, I just put one these Hanging Tangaroa's up on ebay:

That would be way cool!! I very briefly considered a pulley, but didn't think it would be as cool or "magical" as being mechanized!! Would love to see that one!
