Frog Tiki Carving

Pages: 1 20 replies

I hope I'm doing this right! Here's a pic of a Wood carving I've just completed. it is a 'Tiki' Frog. Since I could not find any reference to a Tiki Frog anywhere, I created my own! I carved it with hand tools on Walnut, finished with a light coating of linseed oil. I'd value any opinions!

Welcome, Condortiki! Nice relief carving, and a really excellent original idea. You and Purple Jade must think alike, and that's a real compliment. Of course we'd love to see more...

WoW! What a great response! Thank You All!! I'm so glad that you like the little Tiki Frog! To answer the size question, it's about 4 inches wide, and about 9 long. As I get more carvings finished, I'll post! Thanks again!

Perhaps a Condor-tiki?
The frog is neat but you should make one of your namesake also. Hopefully it wouldn't lose the tiki and turn totem pole. Love the bamboo bottom of the frog guy a lot.
