Just rented a recently released DVD at the local video store.

Its titled Kung Fu Hustle....

It kicked ass!!!!!

I would describe it as a comedic kung fu interpretation of the matrix.

It was a surprise how much I enjoyed it.

Great heros, super funny (chinese) dialog, terrific art feel to it.

Make sure you see it. This is one Im gonna buy!

hilarious movie! i know i was the one in the theater laughing hardest ~ probably cuz i could get some inside jokes when the actors were in the village talking. i'm chinese-american, and only understand a bit of cantonese (mostly admonitions and swearing)

interestingly, when the actors were in the city, they switched to mandarin or a different dialect of cantonese.

LOVED IT!!

I had to watch the director's commentaries, just to know what was UP with the "butt man."

as it turns out, showing his butt throughout the movie was the "butt man's" idea, and the director didn't argue with it.

I didn't realize that the main character is the director - very cool.

Fo' sho! I'm in -- WATAHHH!!!

Stephen Chow was the director and he's really brought a fresh outlook to the classic Kung Fu movie. If you liked Kung Fu hustle check out his prior film Shaolin Soccer. It's got a completely different feel to it, but equally hilarious.

I thought this movie kicks ass as well. I highly recommend it!!!
