Shirley Allen 1931-2005 R.I.P

I was doing a little planning for my upcoming trip to San Diego and I found out that Shirley Allen, piano playing songstress at the Red Fox Room steakhouse in San Diego, passed away from cancer on March 19th. of this year.

I know several TC members besides myself are fans of the steak house and Ms. Allen.

I'll be drinking a toast to Shirley tonight. I think the piano bar at the Alley in Oakland will be a fitting stop for a toast to her on the way home.

apparently knew fred thompson who played the orangefair lounge (fullerton/anaheim area) some years ago...
