Tiki Plushes at Hallmark

Pages: 1 6 replies

I went to buy some officy-gifty crap at the card shop (dread) They were busy setting up Halloween and Christmassy stuff just in time for Labor Day. Born-again music was playing and it was, in total the kind of place that could give a woodpecker a headache. Just before I bolted, in the corner I saw little plush figures that looked like different versions of "Sideshow Bob" which turned out to be Tiki Plushes. They are about the size of a football and they (when pressed hard) a little drum tune and grunts something about "Ti-ki Par-ty"

I can't decide if I like or hate it, but I have thought of some fun I could have with the pressure activated song (maybe on a toilet seat?)

Has anybody else seen these?
It's rather irksome to find one's self in a shop looking for something for about 10.00 that's not offensive and just gets you off the hook.(which is the jist of office gifts)

I ended up buying the one of them because it was the only thing I didn't hate.

No, they are not as vulgar as those.
They are brightly colored tho...and a little larger.

Maybe theses are what you saw?

For some evil, evil reason, I kinda like the purple one. (shhh)

Oh dear god no!!!!!!!!!

I have to go sew my eyes shut now.

Here's an existing thread about stuffed tikis, including the ones mentioned here and probably the ones Gigantalope originally saw:

That thread has a real humdinger of a photo of tikis I took at the Santa Cruz boardwalk last spring.

Tikiwahini, yes those are the vulgar offenders...and Humuhumu, that photo eeek!
