Holding beer steins? Dancing like a chicken? Eating sausages, pretzels and sauerkraut? Got a dirndl or lederhosen just hanging in your closet begging to be worn? What about being in an environment where public drunken behavior is not only permitted, but encouraged? Do you know what "electrolysis" has to do with any of this? Can you identify THIS photo? If you answered YES to any/all of these questions, well, hold on to your keg-hat and styrofoam stein my friend, because your time has come! The Opening Night of Alpine Village Oktoberfest is this Saturday, September 10, but it continues every weekend (Fris & Sats, 6-1, Sunday 'Family Day' from noon - 7) until October 30. This Saturday, Spermy, WhaleRider & myself will be heading out there to kick off the season - anyone wanna join us? I figure we'll get there around 8 and stay til, whenever. The A.V. website doesn't have a link for free admission coupons (yet), but I know there are free passes out there somewhere (Easy Reader usually has them). Post here or PM me & we'll coordinate arrival times and/or carpooling. Plus I'll see what I can do about rustling up a few more passes. Aloha wear required. :wink: A TikiCentral tradition since 2002! Because......I can go to Trader Vics any ol' time but I can't see Dr. Z dance like a chicken in a pair of leiderhosen that begged to be worn just any given day. Besides I've never been to an Oktoberfest! Besides, I have been quoted recently of loving sausage "I could eat 24 hours of Sausage". Uh, and the Alpine Village is only 4 miles from my house..... So Z, who will will be driving the drunks home? I am usually the soberist, but Saturday I will opt out on that state of consciousness. Can we get a cab or something? That would be great! Mz. Cutie

We'll be gettin' there around 9-ish and stayin' til about 1. If'n you wanna carpool or cab it with us, gimme a PM beforehand, otherwise just meet us there. We'll be easy to spot: he'll be the tall guy wearing a hat shaped like a giant barrel of beer, I'll be the shorter guy wearing an aloha shirt and a hat shaped like a chicken.
