Pages: 1 3 replies

Dominique and Gary Rice send many thanks to everyone at Hukilau 2005 who took interest in their wares. Likewise to the many who have frequented the threads in Collecting Tiki and Beyond tiki.

For those who may not be aware, Gary and Dominique vend items which were hand collected from their travels to Papua New Guinea, The Trobriands Islands, Australia, Africa and remote islands of Indonesia. Along with that enormous collection, they sell antique and rare prints, signed by contemporary artists as well as handpainted furniture and glassware.

Oceania, Etc is another perspective on the tropical atmosphere that we love so much.

Here's the link to her EBay store, which contains both items from Oceania, Etc. and her daughter's store, Only Pocket Change.http://stores.ebay.com/OCEANIA-ETC
Please do email her at if you have any particular interests that you would like to see. With some particularly native items, Domi provides detailed research to give the background on the item as well as the culture of origin.

For new members just discovering Oceania, Etc., please do check out the thread in Collecting Tiki to get an idea of the wonders which they brought back.

To see photos of the people they saw while visiting Papua New Guinea and the Trobriands, please see the thread in the Beyond Tiki forum which demonstrates the natives in full costume.

To see samples of Dominique's own artwork, we have a thread in the Beyond Tiki forum that highlights her unique style and awareness to ethnic detail.

Authentic Papua New Guinea decor for your home.

Dominique has a 32" Gope board for sale. Not too bad for something Dominique hand picked from the villages in PNG and shipped directly to the States.

Due to unforseen reasons, Dominique and Gary Rice will need to move Oceania, Etc out of thier store front before December 2006.

Many items, such as Ikat fabrics and other tropical prints, are being liquidated online to hasten the reduction of inventory. You can see what may be of interest by clicking here to visit their Ebay store.

Just doing a little bump.

Many articles are very much on liquidation right now. Here is an oppurtunity to get an authentic Gope board, hand picked from the villages of New Guinea.

Here is an authentic New Guinea tapa cloth.

Please do check in on the Oceania, Etc Ebay store for many more great bargains.
