Bronze Tiki Coins - new coin series!

Aloha all -

We just recently released our first two bronze tiki coins for geocaching. A few die-hard tiki friends suggested we post our site here for the tiki crowd.

Please go to: http://www.geotiki.com

Click on the first 2 tiki images for more information. Go to "meet tiki" to learn more about how they are made.

We are only making 200 of each coin. The next coin in the series will be released early next year. For those folks that order the first 2 coins, you will be put on a mailing list for the first offering of the next coins to complete your collection.

We've already shipped the first 100 coins and expect the next round of castings to ship in about 2 to 3 weeks.

Feel free to email me from the geotiki site if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.

Mahalo,

VanTiki

Aloha all -

Just wanted to let you folks know that my 3rd bronze TikiCoin, King Mojo, is now available. Here he is in all his glory:

You can check him out at:

http://www.geotiki.com/geotiki/mojo.html

What is he, exactly? Welp, he is my signature GeoCoin that I hide when I go Geocaching. My geocaching "handle" is "Tiki" (surprise!), so I made coins to match my name. I know, sounds crazy.... But the coins are pretty nifty. You don't have to be a GeoCacher to use them - a lot of the first 2 coins were made into jewelry, buttons, etc by the people who bought or found them.

Aloha all -

Big mahalo to those who grabbed a TikiCoin!

Got an e-mail from someone who was having trouble buying more than 1 TikiCoin with her AOL account. If you want more than 1 Mojo, but are having trouble with the PayPal button, please let us know and we will try and fix it.

wow. just got my king mojo. that this is hefty. now i have to figure out a way to make it into a necklace.

it's beautiful van.

save me a mug man.

V

So Stoked that you like your Mojo! He is a hefty guy, the biggest of my tikicoins (hey, he IS the king and all!). Here is a pic of how I made my first TikCoin into a zipper pull for my camera bag (Note the cool patina the bronze has developed after miles of rainy hiking trails!):

I very carefully drilled a hole through his eyebrow and slipped a small stainless jumpring through the hole. It is tricky to drill something this small - I'd put him in a vice if you have one (make sure the vice has non-marring plastic grips) and I'd use a center punch to make a starting dent for the drill bit to dig into. Mojo is bigger than this TikiCOin so it should go easier. Good luck - post a pic when he's done!

geo-caching tiki coins is a great idea. Have you got these things hidden all over Hawaii? I'm totally bringing a GPS with me next time!

Let me know before you come out so I can salt a cache or two and then point you in the right direction! :)

I've hid a bunch already - some get snagged right away, and some remain sleeping in the jungles for months! Take a look over here - this guys been there since January!

Awesome man. Wished I lived in Hawaii so I could hunt some of those guys down...

Aloha Folks -

I thought you may want to get a peek at the new TikiCoins I am making for my GeoCaching hobby. These are the reason I've been a tad slow in the mug making department since December :)

This series of 4 coins "stack" on top of each other. I am doing them in Silver and Bronze editions (10 silver, 200 bronze) and will be releasing them over the next few months. They are rather popular - the first coin totally shocked me by selling out in a day! :o

How fast did the 3rd coin sell out?

Damn, love those stackables!

V

Aloha!

Dancin' Lizard - Welp, they sold out in about 5 hours! We rushed home from a business meeting to take down the paypal link at noon (Hawaii time).

Davy - Mahalo! I didn't post hosts of the new one as they sell out so fast I figured nobody from TC wold be able to get one. Here is the new (sold out) fellow:

Aloha Folks!

The final silver TikiCoin stacker - Mr. StoneFace -is up on ebay! This is the last of the stacking coins, and it is (if I may say so) my favorite. It sports a hole at the top so you can easily make it into a necklace. Cast in solid sterling silver.

The bronze versions of this coin will be available next Saturday on http://www.geotiki.com
