if you look at tiki410 's recent tiki finds that were just posted, you will see a similiar tiki carving of wood....proprtions vary slightly from mine, but it's the same style and look as my lamps....cool find..i never new those existed in other than lamp form....weird...what are the odds that i should decide to post my lamp bases and then someone would actually find a solid wood identical carving in the wild resembling them...

That is the same almost exact portions. My carving is 18 inches. I found my carving at an antique store in Washington, Louisiana. Would love to get a matching lamps myself but with Christmas, newborn, Katrina, etc. etc.

Awesome lamp bases!

Okay this is weird but I figured you may like to know that the "lamp" in question is featured here in the bedroom link to tiki dugs place
http://www.tikiislandhawaii.com/bedroom.html

you can spin the picture to see a closer look - wierd...
Just so you can see it in action - either way its a cool lamp. Maybe Tiki Dug can shed some "light" the sitution - he owns the musuem down there in his house!
It looks like a cool place BTW.

wow....cool, thanks!! i can't tell if that lamp is a plaster one or wood.....did he claim these lamps are from don the beachcomber??

I love being able to pan around the room. I think that is cool & weird. Thanks for the infor. about the lamp. It would be nice to confirm its origins.
