I got sick of all you guys and gals bragging about just dropping into the local tiki bar and having a Mai Tai, so I thought I would go one better and make a pilgrimage to the South Pacific! I went to NZ years ago as a youngin, but that was before I was into tiki, so this is my first real tiki-fied expedition. It comes at a price, and that means not being able to buy the tiki wagon. Bugger. I still got a hankerin for a cool tiki ride, so we'll see what eventuates. Anyway, back to the cruise. The cruise is with P&O aboard the Pacific Sun, on the Island Valentine cruise. Here's there blurb:
The cruise is in early February, and is for 13 nights. Ill get to spend valentines day with the wahine on Vanuatu, sweet. Here's the map: and heres the link with the cruise details, with pics to rub it in further :) My wahines folks have been on a cruise to the area before, and its as good as it looks. The ship even has really cheap drinks. Hell, I might even post some pics when I get back. In the mean time, I gotta save all my pennies. Maybe thats why Im working 2 jobs. Everyone laughs at me because I am different. I laugh at everyone else because they are all the same. [ Edited by: hewey 2005-11-30 19:42 ] |

Man, I am totaly jealous. First your cruise sounds wonderful, take lots of photos and post them here. And secondly, you live in Sydney! I went to Australia for my first time last year and I loved Sydney. Have a Coopers for me! |

That is a great itenerary. I love going on cruises - they're the best way to break from reality. Here's tip from a cruise veteran - sneak some booze onto the ship! I don't know about Australia but in the states its fairly easy to sneak alcohol on board. You will have to put it in some type of plastic container. Its not that I'm extremely cheap, its just that the cost of my first cruise (4-day Mexico) was doubled when I recieved my bill. They make it so easy - "just sign the ticket". No matter how cheap a single drink seems you have to look at how many in one day for how many days. Keep it n mind, you may save enough to buy the "big" tikis that you find. Have fun and enjoy. |

Hear him! That tab at the end of the trip can be a real downer. You'll be astounded. The casino's can eat you up too. I'm jealous Hewey. Good times ahead. |
