thanks a lot, I love both blog. Plus, the Ohio guy also have another cool blog : http://musicyouwont.blogspot.com/

So... Is it just me? Or has anyone else noticed that whoever posts the stuff at the TAM TAM and Melodie blog must not be listening to their rips before they put them up lately? Most of what has been posted there for the last month has been of such horrible quality that it is pretty much unlistenable. Damn shame, really.

I hear ya, Vic. They're always poppy and scratchy.

I know what your saying, but hey it's free and hard to find.

I kinda like the pops, makes it sound warm and old skool.

Pops and clicks are fine with this vintage music. But, what is the deal with that hum on most of these recorded pieces. If you are taking the time to post these rare classics, a little noise reduction would seem to be a small favor to ask for. http://tamtammelodie.blogspot.com/

So that's where they came from. I d/l a lot of music and don't keep track where I get it from. I was going through my d/ls and had to delete two or three albums due to this horrific hum that was nearly as loud as the music! I knew they all came from the same setup, now I know which setup and not to bother with that blog anymore. Is it just that he needs to ground his turntable? Yeesh.

I was actually wondering if it sounded as bad to other people as it does to me. The last 4 or 5 records posted are simply all noise and no music as far as I can tell. No one has posted anything saying anything like that in the comments on the site, however.

Perhaps my ears are simply too finely tuned. That's what I get for listening to The Cramps for the last 30 years...
