In 1978, at a SciFi convention.

My son brought this to my attention, and I must bring it to yours:

William Shatner may not be the most talented man on the planet, but there is no question that he gives everything his all, and I salute that.

Or at least that's what I tell myself as I roll on the floor ...

P

I love that guy.
Surely he knows.
He's gotta know - right?

His latest album explains it all:

And a masterpiece it is!!!

Especially the duet with Henry Rollins.*

I like that Beck sort of "sampled" this historic moment in his "Where It's At" video.

The best part: "...I'M A ROCK IT, MAAAN" (said with the usual subtle, tasteful and understated delivery Bill Shatner is best know for).

Shit! I started to wonder if Spock was gonna walk in and join him in the chorus.

As I recall he did it on the Science Fiction Awards show.

A brief attempt to start a tv show ala The Oscars for
science fiction.

I saw it... My retinas have never been the same...

I show this on the big screen every year at my annual William Shatner Tribute - which usually features his sick 70s masterpiece "Impulse". Never fails to bring down the house.

I love William Shatner!! I have all his albums - SHAT'S WHERE ITS AT, man!! Fantastic clip!!

T

Betty, if you haven't, you GOTTA see "Impulse"!!!

I am DYING to see IMPULSE!! I tried to road trip up to San Fran last time I heard it was there but was a little late getting out the door. Anyone willing to have a screening???? I'll bring the popcorn and pineapples!!
