ahoy me hearty's!!....got a dilemma...I have a full bottle of rum from the hawaiian distillers, probably from about the late 60's early seventies...like the one in tiki quest, page 154, bottom right corner.....unopened. does this stuff age?? is it drinkable?? I'm no expert on rum but thought i might as well ask before i throw it up on ebay...it has the original box. the bottle has the detachable cup on the tikis head like the one in the pic, but this one never had the ashtray base....also says rums of hawaii on the tikis chest, not okelahoe...... |

hmmm, if it's still sealed it should probably be fine since it's a distilled spirit. Why don't you send it to me, and I'll be ever so happy to check it for you...hehehe amiotiki |

If I were you, i'd crack it open and see for myself!! Unfortunetly, spirits dont age once they're bottled. And if it is sealed with a cork, then depending on how its been kept (away from direct sunlight and heat) t would still be ok. But if it hasnt been kept properly, it might well be corked, like wines get. Corked Rum is not a good thing!!! Let us know how it is Senor P |

I just cracked open a bottle of Jamacan rum dated 1932. Not too bad! |
