Anybody ever used a hypertufa mix for making tikis? If you're wondering what hypertufa is (google it)--I read that it is a mix of portland cement, vermiculite and peatmoss. Supposedly you can substitue many other materials in place of peatmoss, crushed seashells was one example of a substitute. I've been thinking that with a ridgid wire frame and a hypertufa mix one may be able to create a nice moai head or something like that. I saw some really cool stuff made out of hypertufa when I 'googled' it. |

Hey TD, FOLLY Beach is just outside of Charleston, SC. Take some pics of your friends hypertufa tiki and post'em, if you can. I'd be interested to see how t turns out-might even give it a stab myself. |
