Jake and his manager stopped by the D'Addario string factory on Tuesday. I had the opportunity to film him giving a short concert for the factory workers, as well as a couple of lessons which will end up on our website. What an awesome player, you will never think of the ukulele the same way after watching him perform. He's a great guy too, he even signed the tiki that sits on my desk. Yeah, he's pretty coool - I saw him in Falls Church Virginia last December, the night before we went to Hawaii... how appropriate. He simply rocks out on "While my guitar gently weeps". Here's a link to his performance on the 'net: http://www.collegehumor.com/movies/159572/ It requires Quicktime to play it. a.k.a. Mayor of Forbidden City [ Edited by: tikigap 2006-02-10 21:14 ] |

He will be playing at Tiki Terrace (again) on March 12. I am sure Scott (Terrace owner and 'Kalani' on TC) wil be making a formal announcement soon. |
