Looking good. I bet the carving goes much faster now.

As someone who has fooled around a little with carving stone, I feel qualified to say... FREAKING AWESOME ! ! ! Stone Tikis rule.

Good Job!!! How thick is it? Did you use steel files on it? Rasps? Air Hammer & chisel? Where did you get the marble from? I work with stone every so often and for any one wanting to find Stone to work with you might try cemetery's for discarded tombstones (that've been replaced,of course) or you might want to go straight to monument companies (larger, very, very, heavy) or counter top manufacturers for chipped or fractured pieces(thinner for the beginner carver). I pick up 1 or 2 a year, breaking them up with a sledge hammer and carving from the pieces. A diamond saw works great on the counter tops and creating "slivers" of stone to use.>> If you get a good number of the thinner fragments, the rental cost of the saw is justified. Keep up the good work!!!
