Headhunter Kahiki Supper Club

I finally stumbled upon another headhunter mug but was surprised to see the difference between it and my first one. The one on the left is larger, has a creamy brown glaze and a higher sheen. Could these have come from different molds or perhaps fired at different temperatures? Each are incised with "Kahiki" and have Hoffman's black stamp. Thought it was interesting.
