tiki totems at home depot

Pages: 1 10 replies

a while back i saw a post about tikis at home depot in playa del rey.well, when i was there tonite i inquired and it is true.only during summer are they available. has anybody seen one ,and how big and how much????

Pass on the ones at Home Depot. They were getting them from another source, who was getting them from the philipines. This isn't soo bad, but this co. is copying carvers like Leroy and Wayne Coombs. The price was like $400. + . If your'e gonna spend that kind of money, you can have something custom carved from someone and it will be good enough to put in your house. You can trust me , I know first hand about homeimprovement tikis.

Twowheeler,

If you want to spend the same amount they charge at Home Depot, go with ChikiTiki or one of TC's carvers.

got a name?, got a number???

I don't know what Home Depot was offering, but Mai Tiki (Wayne) sells a palm tiki about 3-4 feet tall for about $200. $400 would get a much larger one. And this is a material known to stand up in the elements etc. Shipping might change the cost enough to make you shop around, but if you are in California, there has to be someone nearby to buy from.

Twowheeler,

TheChikTiki was the 2nd post on this tread, he has his number listed on it. I've picked up several very nice tiki and tiki-related items from him (Danny).
