This from Elizabeth Phillips who is helping to coordinate Catalina Campfest, which is the same weekend as the Catalina Tiki Fest Band Needed: Who would you be interested in playing for @ 2-3 hours on Friday night, We are a social active group from San Diego that has reserved the entire Hermit Gulch Campground in Avalon for the weekend. Unfortunately, the band that was performing for their welcome reception Friday evening will not be able to make it. Need alternate plan. If some one could perform Friday, August 18t and are interested please let Elizabeth know. She would also pay for your boat ride, food and a cabin if you wish to stay the night. Partyschedule.com will be hosting Catalina Campfest over the weekend of August 18-20. http://www.partyschedule.com We have reserved the entire Hermit Gulch campsite exclusively for PartySchedule.com members on the Avalon side of the island, which will hold 272 people. The campsite will be available Friday afternoon at 1PM until Sunday morning. Checkout time is 11AM. We recommend you take the day off on Friday and join us early. Things will get rock'in Friday with a few kegs, a Caribbean style reggae band and other great party favors. Group discounts will be available on a variety of activities such as kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving. Please let me know if you and your band would be available on Firday, Aug. 19th. We would really love for the band to just hang out and have fun. The group is a fun, diverse group who are really active and like to have a good time. Check it out and let me know your thoughts. Some of the fence-sitters were waiting until we got closer to August, while others have since started recruiting their own circles of friends to come join the fun. So it's time to refresh your memory on the details. It's going to be an incredible weekend on Catalina Island. Camping, sea kayaks, snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking...we're lining up all kinds of stuff to see and do on that cool island! We will even have quite the set up back at camp, with music and kegs of beer! All the details you need to get prepared for that weekend are attached (see flyer). Early registration for those that took advantage of it, was $100 per person. The deadline for that price was the end of February. The current price is now $120 per person. This rate will apply from now until the end of July, at which point prices go up again.
