tiki lottery tickets

The state of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Virginia are both now offering tiki-themed scratch-off lottery tickets. They cost $2 each, and you can win up to $10,000 (in Maryland) or $15,000 (in Virginia)

The good thing about these tickets is the tiki design. The bad thing about them is that you have to scratch off and remove the tiki figure to find out if you won .... I kind of felt like Walgreens, as I destroyed a couple of tiki figures in my efforts to fatten my wallet. I ended up keeping my final tiki lottery ticket in its intact form, to keep at least one tiki ticket around.

Kind of a cool tiki on them, not all garish like some of the stuff that comes out these days.

Hey Vern, nice scoop.
You can talk some convenience store clerk into scanning that ticket for you to see if it is a winner without scratching.

Tell them you're really into tikis, open your eyes real wide and lean slowly toward them.
They'll scan it.
