Dr Jay's Tiki Triathlon (The Tiki Tri) - A 1st?

I posted this under the new image uploading thread, but to further spread the love I'm also placing it here.

These are pictures from the 8th Annual Dr Jay's Oceanside Youth Triathlon for 7-14 year olds, a benefit for cystic fibrosis. This year we re-designed the t-shirt and now it's the Tiki Tri. That's my wahini, Audrey, on the left, my daughter's friend Nadia on the right, and moi, at the beginning of the race. Not looking happy because there were a couple of sprinkles, but they went away in 5 minutes and the weather was fine. The kids had a great time. Next year, maybe commemorative mugs?

Looks like a fun race! My wife and I are both semi-serious triathletes, and personally I'd love to see more themed races.

You don't happen to be near Lake Placid?

We're in Rockville Centre, but the race is in the next town over, Oceanside, Long Island. I went to apply for the Might Hamptons race today, in Sag Harbor, and they're sold out! Now I have to get on a waiting list
