thoughts on a sketch

any thoughts or comments on these here tikis?

this one i haven't really done a whole lot with, just outlines and such....as you can see

and this one has a bit more detail, again, as you can see.

any feedback would be appreciated

Well I'm just an amateur, but I'd say they're well drawn.

The first one is graceful, symmetrical, and says "tiki" right off the bat. The second one brings to mind a tiki creature in outer space maybe? It looks 3D - like you're visualizing this one as a sculpture of some type, perhaps?

These are great starts. try hitting your pencil scetches with some ink and maybe color. The bold lines would really jump. Keep them comin.

yeah, most of the ones i've done i try to make them so i could carve or color at some point in time. i've played w/ some color with that first one in photoshop a little. but, like i said, just sketches. i've got several tiki's (infact all of them) that are just pencil. guess i need to get a site or something.
