The price is not $100, as you state. At $110, the reserve is not met.

What is the threshold?

once again "the STARTING BID IS $100 " not a buy it now for $100

True enough it is not a "buy it now" for $100, but neither is the "starting bid $100," if the reserve is not met at $100.

Do you care to divulge the accurate starting bid?

the starting bid is $100 the reserve price is much higher and no I will not tell the reserve price which is my right. kinda defeats the purpose if I tell the reserve price dont you think. consider the fact that these were put out in 2004 and are signed, numbered, limited to 150 sets and have never been on ebay that I have seen and the main thing they are SHAG . The bids now haven't even meet what I paid for them.

MTM is correct. If seven people raise his opening bid of $100 to $200 it may not make his reserve.
We know the maximum amount that you are willing to spend is $110 so, you value his item less than he does and anyone who bids higher. If the item never makes his reserve then he values his item more than any bidder.

Not making his reserve shows him that he may need to lower his reserve. If it gets to his reserve then he is (or should be) satisfied.
This is an Ebay auction (not Sotheby's) which teaches sellers what others consider valuable.

At this time, I am not prepared to get a Shag as I percieve the value to be greater than what I am willing to spend. A Shag sticker on the other hand....
