Scheherajazz

Can anyone confirm if the Skip Martin Scheherajazz album is the same recording as the Scheherajazz CD released under the name 101 Strings? Ås both were on the Somerset label, it would seem to me that the 101 Strings version is a straight reissue of the Skip Martin released under the 101 Strings name to sell albums. Who has heard both?

Haven't heard the CD, but own the Skip Martin LP. I think you're correct. What I've read online makes it sound like it's just Skip Martin released as the 101 Strings to sell LPs.

Hey, that is my dads album!. I was just looking it up online and here on tiki central it pops up.I am not sure about the 101 strings thing as I only have the albums.

You are Skip Martin's son? That record is insane. I love the "Mike Hammer" album too. And the track "Tiger Hunt" from the "Perspectives in Percussion" album frequently shows on exotica comps that I've made through the years. Cheers!
