I'm stoked about the Grand Opening! But does anyone know if there will be "regular" busniess hours? |

Ahh..I'm sorry....I've been to critiki and it didn't seem to be Southern California Tiki Bar specific that I could see?(maybe i missed it)...I just wanted to compile a list of Southern California tiki bars and exclude other avenues of interest such as O.A. in Whittier or Caliente Tropics in Palm Springs since these are not drinking establishments per say(CT has a bar, but I was really looking for stand alone/Bar only establishments). Sorry Humuhumu for your having to repost (I wasn't trying to make double work), but it is highly appreciated! Your site is a wealth of information and I assure you, your research was not in vain! hehe |

There may be a Tiki Bar/Restaurant called "Bora Bora" at 3505 Highland in Manhattan Beach. Reviews: http://losangeles.citysearch.com/review/35698829 After further review, while there is a tiki door handle, while there are puffer fish used as lighting, while the menu is chock full of tasty pupus, it is not a "tiki bar," but a 1950s bar and grill with a Polynesian flair. A shame, it is very close to being a classic mid-century tiki bar. Maybe with the right inspiration from some tiki vendors . . . Best to dine there and then drive down Highland, along the Ocean, to Grand to the Purple Orchid. [ Edited by: christiki295 2006-10-08 22:48 ] |
