awesome mugs...but $25 shipping from hawaii to the midwest sounds alittle steep based on items i have sent there.....you may want to go with the postal service, priorty mail....ups sucks and they over charge....given the opening bids of these mugs it may cause some to shy away from bidding....just thought i'd mention..

I hear you on the shipping - I was torn on the costs. I was charging 15.50 on my website for shipping mugs - but I was shipping at a loss due to the expense of packing materials here in Hawaii. As I put a lot more time into the glazing of these mugs, I will be shipping these double boxed, well padded, and insured. I just don't feel comfortable going with single boxing and USPS to lower costs - these guys took me too long to make only to have them break in the mail! They truly are "one-of-a-kind", and while I can sculpt a similar one, I can never really replace it. Hope you can understand -

As far as UPS sucking - I have actually had more things break with priority mail than UPS (not mugs - none of those have broken yet!) - and UPS has been very quick when it come to insurance claims (not so with USPS). That's just how it has been for me sending fragile things over the Pacific!
