New friezes at Freaky Boutiki

Here's a couple recent Tiki friezes that stand on the south and north ends of Freaky Boutiki built by Rob Tobin and designed by yours truly. Made from multiple laminated plywood layers, bamboo, and paint these fellas are about eight feet tall. Going at these with my flexcuts proved a big mistake due to the alternating grain directions of the plywood but Rob's mechanical grinding technique replicated the hand-carved look I was after quite nicely.

Anyway, meet "VolcaNoes" and "Swell Mel"...

I can't see these, and I'd really like to. Is it just me?

Quite abstract, and very cool. I'd love to have access to a CNC machine to cut ply, the possibilities would be endless!

I can't see it either. Not sure how New Zealand can?:)

I drove by this morning to take pics.
