PS2 Question...

My step-son recieved a Japanese Playstation 2 for x-mas and I was wondering if it will play games purchased here in the states. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks a bunch!

you'll need a mod-chip installed, quite tricky to do, soldering little wires to the motherboard, you might find another method using a little memory card type gizmo they used to sell but I never tried one myself. Probably better off to just get a u.s. playstation, sell the jap model on ebay or something.
