Mr Neutron ripped some serious surf guitar tunes. Atomic Mosquitos are awesome -- and even played their version of Sabre Dance!! Surf OG's the Rip Chords ended their Beach Boys-esque set by busting out the Rickenbacker 12 string and playing "So You Wanna Be a Rock N Roll Star" to rousing applause!! 9th Wave is always cool to see. "Unsteady Freddy's" surf rock night at Otto's Shrunken Head is the best kept secret in NYC!! 1st saturday night each month -- the room is intimate, you can actually have a conversation while enjoying the bands. cool crowds. drink real mai tais from Otto's own tiki mugs. and the bands are awesome! Can't recommend these shows highly enough. I bring friends who know nothing about tiki/surf rock, and they all love it.
