Usually if it has the word "strings" in the title, get ready for super lush Baxter-esque string arrangements...something I'm not a big fan of, especailly in exotica music. There's even a violin on the cover. Imagine my surprise when the only "strings" I heard were steel guitars, slack key, uke, etc. Very nice, relaxing Hawaiian music complemented by the occasional native bird and the sound of waves. This is also part of the never ending "Hawaii Calls" series, "Favorite Instrumentals of the Islands: Volume 3." I have Volume 4 which compliments this collection well. Enjoy!
