I'm in London for a short trip but wanted to get any thoughts on stuff to see here that's tiki or lowbrow related. thanks |

TraderVics, Mahiki, South London Pacific, British Museum for Tiki.... Low Brow, there are plenty of cool galleries in East London and some in West. |

Trailer Happiness is a great lowbrow setting for yummy cocktails too (or at least was last time I visited a few months ago). If you're here next Thursday, the ICA is screening Kon-Tiki with live music: Not Tiki, but if your definition of lowbrow includes street art, you may also be interested in these current exhibitions in London: Faile's From Brooklyn with Love at Lazarides Gallery: Eleven at Leonard Street Gallery: Word to Mother at StolenSpace: And if you're really into street art, I'll be happy to list a few noteworthy streets. More Tiki: Intoxica Records in Notting Hill which was decorated by Josh Collins (who designed the interior of South London Pacific. Black Pearl Boutique off Carnaby Street was designed by CheekyTiki.
