Ever seen this mug before

I tried the search option and couldn't find what I was looking for so here goes...I've found this mug, but I have never seen anyting like it before..I'll probably pay the huge price for it but I would like to know a little bit about it before I decide...so if anyone knows anyting about could you please let me know

Looks like a Tahiji design. There is a handled cup version of this design in TQ (don't have the book for page reference).

These normally come with a wooden holder, like some yard glasses do. There's one up on ebay that's over in 2 hours.
