Photographer Lucy Fur’s ROOM WITH A VIEW book signing and burlesque show, Saturday, May 5, 2007 at LA LUZ DE JESUS GALLERY, 6 pm- 9 pm Equal parts Bunny Yeager, Helmut Newton and Cindy Sherman, the young, buxotic “Burlesque Queen” of Portland, Oregon, Lucy Fur, has begun a distinctive photographic career by capturing herself in a vanishing breed of unique motel room environments across the country. ROOM WITH A VIEW contains sixty of Lucy Fur’s color photographs, printed on heavyweight art paper stock and handsomely bound with custom cloth binding and an embossed photograph. A burlesque show augments this Cinco de Mayo book signing starring Kitten DeVille, Erochico Bamboo, Audrey Delux and Lux LaCroix.
