Cool lamps! I want a night shot of them all lit up like that :D

wow... the marketplace is a competitive and active forum these days...

this thread sank like an anchor...

Im guessing I missed the mark on the style or price of these lamps.

Feedback?

Those lamps are great!
And on the price, Here in Columbus to sell a dollar you need to charge 50 cents.
Plus the guy may need to get a loan out to do that!
Seriously though when people want to buy my stuff here they often want to
pay a few bucks over my costs. It's not worth it.
That's why I Ebay it.
I thought you would do better in Cali.
Plus my walls,shed,garage are full.
I only buy when it's uber cheap now.
What does OA charge for those lights?
Good Job!

Im pretty sure that OA charges well over $200 for those lamps but they also are constructed a little differently too.

The Tapa cloth alone costs $46 for each lamp

Great lamps Monk, I think that's a very fair price for them. Would you consider selling a kit? (if you have parts left over) I have tapa I could use, though your tapa is a nice scale & colour. Shipping a fully made lamp to Canada would probably cost a bajillion dollars.

kits would be less likely to arrive in one peice... the biggest problem is that the little ribs I use to create the basic shape are very fragile and long... when its all assembled it works as a unit to create a fairly strong lamp.

then im also concerned with folks not doing it right... and burning down their house... quite frankly it would take more time to instruct folks on how to do it remote than it would for me to just do it all.

thanks for your inquiry

I thought the lamps were gorgeous and I thought the price was fair and I thought Mr's Pappy will kill me if I spend more any money on "my hobbies" for a while.

Just a reminder that I will be bringing these to Oasis.

These lamps are just beautiful.

Could you possibly post a picture of one all lit up?

I'm hoping to have enough dough saved up by Tiki Oasis to pick up one there!

Number 2 is sold

[ Edited by: Monkeyman 2007-08-11 13:40 ]

Just a note... if you are interested in purchasing one of these lamps I am happy to accept paypal in advance and package it for you so it gets home safely.

I will have limited space to bring packing materials so lamps purchased at Oasis will be transported home at your own risk.

Prepay and pickup.. reduce the amount of cash you will need to carry around.

I can work a deal if you want to buy a few frames at the same time.

Number 1-2-5-7-8-and 10 are now sold.

Only 4 more remaining

3 - 4 - 6-and 9 are still available

get before they are gone.....

KK

I like bruddah. I need. let me know how!

please PM me with the lamp you are interested in.

Right now number 9 is also sold
I will provide you with payment instructions. If you are going to Oasis you can pick it up...

wow.... all this time with no bites and they all go in one week..... wild.

Thanks

MM/D,
Got my lamp (#2) today and all I can say is WOW. Top notch work here folks. It really throws off a nice soft yet bright light. It is just what my home bar needed. If I can ever get my camera to work I'll definately post a pic. Great work.

TG

#9 is proudly hanging in my lounge! Thanks again man!

Looking forward to attending the next class you do...

super cool Aloha John.

Dont forget to replace the temporary twine on top of the lamp with something more robust and permanent.

Thanks again
