August 11: The Blue Hawaiians @ EB's Summer Luau

Pages: 1 18 replies

Thanks to Jonpaul Balak for the info.

The Blue Hawaiians with no cover? I'll be there. The Farmer's Market clock tower depicted on the flyer now houses the brand new, two week old TASCHEN store, where I will have my Tiki Modern book launch in September. They couldn't have picked a better location for their store: It is still vintage Farmer's Market, but benefits economically from the yuppie meat market at the evil "Grove" (for the non-Angelinos: A giant new "Mainstreet USA"-type shopping mall).

PS: What are SOJU Mai Tais?

I am so there,
and I believe that Jon Paul (photo guy for the tiki mag)
will be there if you want him to sign your copy of the new tiki mag.
:)

Yay! We live right around the corner! :)
See you there!

BB

I'll be there.

GROG planning on going. Hopefully GROG's plans not fall through.

Guest arriving 7-8 -ish at LAX; if delayed we'll likely miss the show.
:—<
I was looking forward to meeting some of the 'ohana, however:
Bora Boris, I may have seen you and not known it at Tiki-Ti this evening (see thread); bigtikidude, we've got a group at Sam's on the 21st (and the first Mai Tai costs you nuthin', cuz I owe you one);
everyone else, look for the Tiki Lion at T.O. VII next weekend!

Damn! Can't make this one. I have a gig til 9:30.

So I am entrusting the mighty GROG to escort Tiki Baï. Anyone up for the Tonga Hut afterward????

If I can't make this one, I'll try and make it to the Tonga Hut.

Sorry BTD, my bad.
BigBroTiki got the thread response goin' so nicely, then I had to go and lament.

How's this for a turnaround:
(ahem)
"My guest arriving late at LAX and I will do our @%&#$&&^# best to get there before closing."

Mo betta brah?
