Witco?

Is this a Witco? There isn't the Witco stamp on it :( What kind of ship is it? Viking? Outrigger? The boat looks Viking but it has a outrigger thing on the side of it, did Viking ships have these? Any info would be great!

So this is a outrigger canoe? I picked it up on Ebay listed under "OLD WOOD WALL SCULPTURE BOAT AND WHALE" I haven't gotten it yet, hopefully it's a nice piece.
