Would anyone like to sponsor me in a charity walk?

Hello, everyone!

I'm fairly new to TC, but I've been reading it for quite some time. You've probably also seen me at many of the So. Cal Tiki events this year.

My mom and I are participating in a charity walk for Children's Hospital of Orange County (CA) this month. CHOC is an exceptional hospital that offers state-of-the-art treatment to children with life-saving illnesses, regardless of their families' ability to pay. This will be my third year doing the walk. If anyone could make a donation, it would be much appreciated!!

Aloha, Holly. I'm a big fan of CHOC and would like to sponsor you. My son was born at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, and it was good to know that CHOC had a special ward on-site just in case there were problems. Can you post instructions to make donations through the CHOC Site to your page? I can make the "tinyurl" link work by deleting the "." at the end, but I can tell you that TC'ers are generally wary (by experience) of folks posting donation sites. I think you're legit - don't take it the wrong way. It's great to see some O.C. Ohana helping to make a difference.

If anyone would like to donate, just log on to http://www.chocwalk.org. Click the button on the left that says Register or Log In. In the next window, select the center square that says Sponsor a Walker. Then you can just type in my name, Holly Waddell, and make a donation in any amount you choose. If you explore the website, you can read more about the great work that Children's Hospital does.

Thanks again for your consideration. Perhaps next year we can organize a Tiki Central team and walk as a group! Philanthropy is FUN!
