Here's a cool little story about our own dearly beloved King Kukulele
http://www.laweekly.com/ink/03/11/a.php
and here is his disclaimer - read this before reading the story
I was REALLY embarrased by one particular sentence that was a
misquote. It was my brother Mike that said HE figured I was the
highest paid uke player. NOT ME!!! Also, the folks in Japan are
going to hit the roof if they see that quote about my salary. I
submitted a correction to be printed next week. Feel free to email
it out but I would love it if you let everyone know that I am not a
pompous ass. As a result of the Craigslist listing, the response to
the rentals has been HUGE. I showed it 6 times yesterday to very
eligible people. One girl knew of the Devilettes...in fact she used
to cocktail waitress at Bimbos.

also this just in from Joe Fleming (www. surflounge.com)
A custom-carved 5 foot tall tiki has disappeared front the front of
the brand new Trader Joes in San Luis Obispo and store officials have
laundched a county-wide search.
The carving, worth about $750, was spirited away (bad pun) last week
in the dead of night.
"There have been Tiki sightings all over town," said Heidi Vorwick,
the store's "first mate" . . .
