Victoria Vox
"In a musical landscape that sometimes struggles to produce artists with a unique and innovative vision, Victoria Vox
and her ukulele are a definite breath of fresh air - I highly recommend you check out her new album and try to catch
her when she plays in the area." - Greg Yost, Music Monthly (MD / D.C.)

Tippy Canoe and the Paddlemen
"There can be little doubt that the ukulele revolution is on. And we know that anyone capable of smiling can be made
to do so via the little guitar, in the right hands.
One of the torchbearers for this movement is Tippy Canoe, the alter ego of Michele Kappel, a lady whose good-humored
ditties and earnest prettiness are right in line with the charm of her instrument. But she's hardly a simple revivalist:
She describes her music as "ukulele-driven du-wop country '20s jazz pop." Hiya Swanhuyser, SF Weekly

Tiki King and the Idol Pleasures.
A tasty mix of scotch soaked jazz pop exotica noir! made up of members of well known bands including moonshine willy, and the Nora Cruz Band, Brought together by a mutual love of Whisky, Music, ukuleles, and chinese food. Like the sound track to a modern detective story set on an exotic desert island, Tiki King and the Idol Pleasures sound ranges from Tin-pan ally to dark edgy jazz pop, featuring slide guitar, bass, ukulele, keyboards and an eclectic suite of percussion. Grab a drink and listen, It's the best thing you'll do all day.

Kelly McCubbin
