Saint James Sucre de Canne

Anybody else use this stuff? I just came across (and subsequently purchased) a bottle at a local wine shop. I'm probably gonna try some Mai Tais with it as soon as I get some Curacao.

It probably has some tastes that might not work in a Mai Tai. Then again they might be so subtle that you'd never notice. Taste a bit on your tongue first. Plain, like simple syrup? Or are there other tastes, like an agricole?

I have a hard time understanding why one would purchase such a product. It just seems like a simple syrup to me - at least the Depaz and Clement that I've had.
