His Majesty O'Keefe On DVD

Sure, it's my username around here, but the 1953 Burt Lancaster film of the same name was released on DVD on October 23, 2007! The film is a visual and audio treat for those of us (meaning us!) who love all things Tiki. If you've never heard of Copra, you will after seeing this movie! The film is also a part of the Burt lancaster Collection, which includes South Sea Woman. Haven't seen that one, but the title sure has its heart in the right place!

Here are some screencaps and a review of the DVD:

Due to this movie being unavailable off & on over the last few years
(you can get an On-demand print of it Amazon.com currently)
I was able to see it on TCM tonight for the first time

It is full of Tiki goodness (Moai, PNG, Tikis, duk duk masks & Tapa print everywhere) filmed on location in the Fiji Islands
I don't think Burt Lancaster has ever turned in a weak performance
and this movie is no exception, plus the lovely British actress Joan Rice whom is mostly
forgotten today, Definitely worth a viewing & this will be even more appreciated by Tikiphiles
for the Tipsy factor!
